March Ward Meeting
Thank you to all of those who came to our March Ward Meeting. I have noticed an increase in the number of people attending since we moved them back to Saturday mornings.
As a recap:
Flashing stop signs will be placed on Wisconsin Avenue at the Kimberly intersection starting this week.
I will check on drainage approved in the City’s budget north of Locust between Fairmount and Gayman Avenues.
I will announce our next meeting for the homes affected by the widening of Locust at Clark.
I have requested the Wilson PTA schedule and announce a meeting for parents who would like to discuss traffic on Clark near Wilson Elementary School.
We will have an update on when construction should begin on the NW Blvd. project by this Friday.
I am still interested in changing the Park Advisory Board to a Commission with meetings schedule and televised much like other commissions. I welcome your input.
I welcome anyone who may wish to participate in the review of a possible Disparity Study or anyone who would like to possibly sit on the Governance Committee to contact me.
If there are any items I missed or you would like to announce an event please feel free to contact me.

Though the Disparity Study will not be on this cycle it will appear on the next. It was pushed back to allow a public presentation by Redmond Jones. I will speak today about what a disparity study is, and hold a discussion on it at the COW in two weeks. I was asked to push it back by those participating in the trip to Washington. After I hold the discussion today I will make a post here as well. Thank you for the question. Always know you can email me or give me a call.
