Casino

In the event the casino may want to move near the interstate there are only a few number of wards it can move to. I will hold this discussion with the 2nd Ward at our next monthly meeting, however, you are welcome to offer your thoughts here.

Interesting thoughts windinghills, if we would be building/expanding Riverdrive into a major highway the taxpayers would pick up the bill. In a way we would then be subsidizing gaming. If it has larger social and financial implications and benifits to residents then we can hold a discussion.

we ought to let the boat move to I-80 and increase the revenue flow. We need the extra dollars to cover some of the expenses that River R. will be costing taxpayers as they continue to have financial problems. The Figge will cost us big buck soon and we have 19 years more to go before we meet the state's requirements of 20 year operations. The same is true of the Bridge to no-where, RME, the Tech. Center, etc.

If the boat moves and builds a golf course, hotel on land, etc. we can also get property tax. The bigger the take in gambling the more they will put into the city checking account.
