Coffee Talk Sessions
It is about time to begin setting up Coffee Talk Sessions. During my campaign I discussed the importance of Alderman remaining assessable once elected. One of my goals if elected was to have a Coffee Talk Session once a month were anyone with concerns or questions could bring them up to the community and myself during an open forum.
I recently spoke with LaWanda Roudebush, Director of the Davenport Public Library. She has offered the use of one of the conference rooms once a month on a Saturday morning at the new Fairmount Library.
I think meeting at the library will give everyone a chance to see the new services the Fairmount Library has to offer. It should also offer a large enough and quite conference room where everyone may join in comfortably.
The new library is set to open on January 14th and I have plans to have our first meeting the following Saturday. I will make another post to confirm that space is still available. If anyone has any questions about meeting at the library, feel free to drop me an email or post a comment here.
