Absentee Ballots
Absentee Ballots
Some of you may have noticed that the lines have changed for the second ward. Areas that were once in the Eighth, fourth and first wards are now in the second ward. Some residents have been sending me emails and calling me with confusion on the lines and which ward they are in.
Tonight I received three phone calls from residents who live on 49th Street West of Pine Street who still have voter registrations that say they are in the Eighth Ward. While sending in absentee ballots they have begun to question if they still vote in the Eighth Ward at their normal polling places or if those polling places have changed.
I have emailed each of these residents with their designated voting places, however, I am concerned that those of you who are voting via absentee whether or not you are receiving the correct ward Ballot. I am currently checking into this. If anyone feels they have received the wrong ballot or question which ward you are in feel free to give me a ring or drop an email at shawn@hamerlinck.us. You may also call down to the City Auditors Office. If anyone else is finding a similar situation please comment below.
